Please note: as soy wax is a natural wax and there is potential for fluctuation in room temperatures, ‘frosting’ may occur on the top of your candle/wax melt. This does not affect the burn or scent of your beautiful candle.

SAFETY TIPS

Caring for your candle properly can help ensure a clean, even burn and extend the life of your candle. Here are some tips:

• - Trim the Wick: Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (6mm) in length. This prevents excessive smoking, mushrooming, and ensures a steady, even burn.

• - Avoid Tunneling: During the first burn, allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container. This prevents the candle from "tunneling" and ensures that it burns evenly each time. The duration of this time may vary but the first burn should be no shorter than 3 hours. 

• - Burn Time: Limit each burn session to about 3-4 hours to prevent overheating and ensure an even burn. Extinguish the candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers excessively.

• - Keep It Clean: Remove any debris or wick trimmings from the wax pool to prevent them from catching fire or affecting the quality of the burn.

• - Positioning: Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, which can cause uneven burning.

• - Extinguish Safely: Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish the candle. Avoid blowing it out forcefully, as this can cause wax to splatter or the wick to become misshapen.

By following these care tips, you can enjoy a longer-lasting, more enjoyable experience with your cotton wick candle while ensuring safety and optimal performance.
